Ik denk wel eens aan monica, die woonde in de straat op nummer 7.
Die bleef in een keer weg van school en niemand wist waarof ze was gebleven.
De meester zei der zijn nogal problemen met ‘r moeder en haar vader.
En monica die woont nu voor een tijdje bij der moeder op een kamer.
En toen de school was afgelopen, liepen we langs het huis op nummer zeven.
Dat was het huis van monica, maar niemand wist waarof ze was gebleven.
We vonden het wel spannend, want we zagen dat het rolgordijn nog dicht was.
Maar ‘s avonds zei mijn zusje dat ze zelf gezien had dat er binnen licht was.
De meester zei de dag daarna, ik wil met jullie wat bepraten.
Het gaat niet goed bij monica, dat heb je nu wel in de gaten.
Haar vader en haar moeder hebben ruzie en die wonen niet meer samen.
Dat vonden wij wel vreemd, daar had je nooit wat van gemerkt als wij daar kwamen.
Het duurde maar een week en toen is monica op school terug gekomen.
Ze was een beetje stil en soms dan leek het bijna of ze zat te dromen.
We vroegen wel is, wat er was gebeurd en of haar ouders gingen scheiden.
Maar monica die haalde dan haar schouders op, bij alles wat we zeiden.
Ik denk wel is aan monica, ze is niet lang bij ons op school gebleven.
Ze woont nu met haar moeder in een andere stad, dat heeft ze ons geschreven.
